How to Make a Joomla PSD Template

Website is like a front page of a newspaper or a book that must have the capability of attracting the attention of viewers at first sight so that they may not divert their attention to something other. Website is more than that. Success of a website reflects in people visiting the site time and again. To attain this uniqueness, it is updated and loaded with exciting information and burning news. A good, bad or ugly design of a website decides whether the website has a good life, interrupted life or a dead life. In the dense cloud of internet, only the fittest are going to survive. Website must have a uniqueness and attractiveness.

There are predesigned website most of which are free with the Joomla platform. Since these are not unique, it has the status of only a presence on the net with little or no vibrations. What is the use of putting a signboard if nobody is going to see it and knock at your door or visit your shop? You have to find a nice way to bring your website to the front, at the top, being the first to hit the eye and have magnetic attraction which is difficult to be detached.

The answer is Photoshop. This Adobe program allows creating image file having images, text and vectors thus enriching the Joomla template uniquely. When the entire designing is complete, the process of conversion begins which requires good understanding of programming languages. You may now require Photoshop developers who shall take up the conversion process.

You can make a Joomla template in Photoshop of your own. If you are a bit conversant with such designing then the under mentioned checklist shall navigate you to designing your theme.

1. Design Joomla template background on the Photoshop.
2. Create the template blank.
3. Create a new layer of a large box of color of your choice placed in the middle.
4. Create a thin sidebar where link to other pages will be loaded.
5. Design a header for your website. Create footer.
6. Name side bars, header and footer.
7. Load PSD file into PSD2CC online by selecting your Joomla template by clicking “browse”.
8. PSD file will be converted into CSS file.
9. Enter the Content Manager in Joomla and upload the cascading style sheet (CSS) file.
10. Press the Default button at the top of the screen.
11. Joomla website shall display the theme.
